This is a set of breadboard jumpers that can be used to do component to component connections on the breadboard. They come in varying lengths and colors and are useful to wire up components together on a breadboard. I generally use these for inter-breadboard connections and the male to male breadboard wires for making connections to headers that are off the breadboard. They come in a clear, plastic, acrylic case so that they can stay ordered and won't get lost so easily.

The FreakLabs Breadboard peripheral is used to quickly prototype circuits. It connects to a FreakLabs MCU board via the universal serial connector and the I/O pins are broken out on the breadboard. It also contains 5V, 3.3V, and GND rails and can take through hole components with standard 0.100" pitch. Using standard jumper wires or breadboard wires with machined tips, you can quickly wire up components and connect them to the MCU. Once the connections are in place, then its just a matter of writing software to drive the component and test out its behavior in-circuit. These are male to male breadboard wires. They have machined, rounded pins so that they will fit easily into a breadboard hole without damaging it or permanently stretching it. I find that I use my wires quite often for a quick prototype of a new component, connecting power and ground to a component to see if it works (reality check test), testing LEDs, and doing a quick wiring of servo motors that have the Futaba 0.100" three-pin connectors. You'll find that they have many uses in rapid prototyping and my wire set is now indispensable to me. They come in red, green, blue, white, and black colors.
